ORDINANCE .
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the City of McHenry, Illinois, to cause a hearing to be had in
regard to an amendment of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry,
and such Ordinance as amended, reclassifying the following described
premises as "B-1" Commercial Retail District:
Parcel 1: The Southerly 14 feet of Lot 3, of the County
Clerk's Plat of Block 12 of the Original Plat of McHenry,
West of the Fox River, according to the Plat thereof recorded
May 6, 1902 as Document No. 14087 in Book 2 of Plats, page
40; ALSO
All that part of Block 12 of said Original Plat of McHenry,
West of the Fox River, which lies Southerly of the South line
of said Lot 3 and which lies Northerly of the North line of
Lot 10 in Block 22, extended Westerly into Block 12, in the
Original Plat of McHenry on the West side of Fox River, a
Subdivision of part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26,
Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded July 6,
1840-in Book B of Deeds,- page 160, in McHenry County,
Illinois; ALSO
The Westerly Half of vacated Back Street that lies Southerly
of the North line extended Easterly of the Southerly 14 feet
of said Lot 3 of the County Clerk's Plat of Block 12, and
Northerly of the North line of Lot 10 in Block 22 in the Original
Plat of McHenry, West of the Fox River extended Westerly, all
located in and being a part of the Southeast Fractional Quarter
of Section 26, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in McHenry County, Illinois.
Parcel 2: Part of Lot 3 of the County Clerk's Plat of Block
No. 12 of the Original Plat of the Village (now City) of McHenry,
on the West side of Fox River, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Easte ly line of said Lot, 68 feet
Southerly from the most Easter y Corner of said Lot, and
running thence Westerly paral el with the Northerly line of
said Lot to the West line of s id Lot; thence South along said
West line to the Northwest C rner of that part of said Lot
which was conveyed by John Pint and wife to Barbara Schreiner
by Deed dated May 9th, A. . 1905, and recorded in the Recorder's
Office of McHenry County, llinois, in Book 115 of Deeds, on
page 291; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said piece
of land so conveyed to the Easterly line of said Lot No. 3; thence

Northerly along said Easterly line to the place of beginning;
said Block being located in and being a part of the Southeast
;j Fractional Quarter of Section No. 26, Township 45 North, Range
II 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian; also 33 feet of vacated
it Back Street adjoining the above described property, lying and
being in the City of McHenry, in McHenry County, Illinois.
i Parcel 3: That part of Lot 3 of the County Clerk's Plat of
j Block 12 of the Original Plat of McHenry, West of Fox River,
described as follows: Beginning in the Northeasterly Corner
of said Lot 3 and running thence Southwesterly along the Easterly
ij line of said Lot, 68 feet; thence Westerly and parallel to the
Northerly line of said Lot to the West line of said Lot; thence
Northerly to the Northwest Corner of said Lot; thence Easterly
along the Northerly line of said Lot to the place of beginning,
!j in the South Half of Section 26, Township 45 North, Range 8
East of the Third Principal Meridian; also 33 feet of vacated
Back Street adjoining the above described property, lying and
being in the City of McHenry, in McHenry County, Illinois.

Parcel 4: The East -79 feet of Lots 2 and 3 and the East 79
feet of Lot 6 (except the Southerly 10 feet thereof), in Block 22
li of the Original Plat of McHenry lying on the Westerly side of
Fox River, according to the Plat thereof recorded in Book B
of Deeds, page 160, on July 6, 1840; said Block 22 being located
in and being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26,
j Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, .in McHenry County, Illinois.
AND, WHEREAS, all pertinent provisions of the Zoning Ordinance
j of the City of McHenry, and such Ordinance as amended, have been complied
II with by all Petitioners;

AND, WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held by the Zoning
Board of Appeals of the City of McHenry and, as a result of such hearing,
the Zoning Board of Appeals has approved and recommends the reclassifica-
tion as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of McHenry as follows:
The Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry, and such
Ordinance as amended, is hereby amended to classify the
hereinabove described premises as 'IB-111 Commercial
Retail District, and the said premises are hereby so
classified.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the appropriate
authorities of the City of McHenry shall issue such
permit, or permits, to effect such usage, when same
are properly requested.
The passage of this Ordinance was moved by Alderman Pepping ,
seconded by Alderman Wegener , and upon a vote being taken, the Mayor
declared the motion passed.
