RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the McHenry Area Jaycees desire to hold their Annual
Christmas Parade on portions of Illinois Route 120 on Sunday November 12,
2001 between the hours of 12 noon and 2 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, said parade will require the closing, either partially or
completely, of Route 120 for four blocks between Green Street and Riverside
Drive in the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the City to assume all
responsibility and liability involved in the closing of said highway.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of McHenry that the
City of McHenry will assume full responsibility for the direction, protection and
regulation of traffic during the time the detour is in effect and all liabilities for
damages of any kind occasioned by the closing of said State Route.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that efficient, all-weather detours will be
maintained, conspicuously marked, and judiciously police -patrolled for the
benefit of traffic deviated from the State Route
