AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
McHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a Petition requesting annexation of the
territory hereinafter described has been filed with the City
Clerk; and
WHEREAS, all of the owners of record and all of the
electors residing within the boundaries of the territory
hereinafter described signed said Petition requesting that
said land be annexed to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not
located within the corporate limits of any municipality but
is contiguous to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and ,
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities find that all steps
and proceedings necessary for the purpose of authorizing
that the said territory may be annexed have been complied

WHEREAS, the annexation of said territory would promote
the public welfare and common good, and is in the best
interests of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows,
to -wit:
That part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27,
Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the
Northeast corner of said Northwest Quarter of said
Section and running thence South of the East line of
said Northwest Quarter 150 feet; thence South 65 degrees
49 minutes west 369 feet for a place of beginning; thence
South 65 degrees, 49 minutes west 75 feet; thence North
24 degrees 11 minutes west 195 feet to the shore line
of McCullom Lake; thence Northeasterly along said shore
line 76.5 feet to an intersection with a line drawn
North 24 degrees 11 minutes west of the place of beginning._

be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the
City of McHenry, Illinois.
Section 2. That the boundary lines of the City of McHenry
be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include within
the corporate boundaries the above -described territory.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this Ordinance,
together with an accurate map of the territory hereby annexed,
shall be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry "'County
Illinois.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
