AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
McHENRY, ILLINOIS v
WHEREAS, a Petition requesting annexation of the
territory hereinafter described has been filed with the City
Clerk; and
WHEREAS, a l l of the owners of record and all of the
electors residing within the boundaries of the territory
hereinafter described signed said Petition requesting that
said land be annexed to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described ris ,pot
located within the corporate limits of any municipality but
is contiguous to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities find that all steps
and proceedings necessary for the purpose of authorizing
that the said territory may be annexed have been complied
with; and
WHEREAS, the annexation of said territory would promote
the public welfare and common good, and is in the best
interests of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows,
to -wit:
That part of the North West Quarter of Section 27,
Township 45 North of Range 8, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing
at the North East corner of said North West Quarter
of said Section; thence South on East line of said North
West Quarter, 150 feet; thence South 65 degrees 49
minutes West, 699.0 feet for a place of beginnings
thence South 65 degrees, 49 minutes West, 90 feets
thence North 24 degrees,'11 minutes West, 185 feet to
the shore line of McCullom Lakes thence Northeasterly
along said shore line 90 feet to an intersection with
a line drawn North 24 degrees, 11 minutes West from the
place of beginning of the tract herein describeds thence
South 24 degrees, 11 minutes East, 190 feet to the place
of beginning, in McHenry County, Illinois.
be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the
City of McHenry, Illinois.
Section 2. That the boundary lines of the City of McHenry
be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include within
the corporate boundaries the above -described territory. .
Section 3. That a certified copy of this Ordinance,
together with an accurate map of the territory hereby annexed,
shall be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County,
Illinois.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval accord*ng to
law.
