AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, A Petition requesting annexation of the territory
hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, The Petitioner is the owner of record of all the
land requested to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, no electors reside within the boundaries of the
land requested to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities find that all steps and
proceedings necessary for the purpose of authorizing that the
said territory may be annexed have been complied with, and
WHEREAS, the annexation of said territory would promote the
public welfare and commongood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR and CITY COUNCIL
Of The CITY OF MC HENRY, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the territory described as follow, to -wit:
Lot 1 in Edgebrook Heights Annex, a Subdivision of
part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Town-
ship 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded
February 14, 1957 as Document No. 319418 in Book 13
of Plats, page 9, in McHenry County, Illinois.
be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part
of the City of McHenry.
SECTION 2: Pursuant to the authority of Illinois Revised
Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-1 through 7-1-10 (1973). that
portion of St. Paul Street abutting to the above described territory
to the far side of said adjacent St. Paul Street, be and it is also
hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of McHenry.
SECTION 3: That the boundary lines of the City of McHenry,
Illinois, be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include
within the corporate boundaries the above described territory.
SECTION 4: That a certified copy of this Ordinance, together
with an accurate map of the territory hereby annexed, shall be filed
with the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED this 4th day of August, 1975.
AYES: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, & Schaedel.
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Bolger
