AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of
the City of McHenry, Illinois, as passed, approved and as
subsequently amended and as now in effect, and the zoning
map of the City of McHenry, Illinois adopted as a part of
said Zoning Ordinance, and as amended, be and they are here-�
by amended as follows:
A. That a Special Use Permit be and it is hereby granted
to McHenry Hospital to use the following described property
for hospital and medical clinic use, including medically re-
lated business and professional uses, off-street parking and
all necessarily related uses:
PARCEL 1: The South 1767 feet of the North 1867
feet of the East 2251.31 feet of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 3; also the
South 1200 feet of the North 1867 feet
of that part of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 2 lying Westerly of the center-
line of Illinois State Route 31 (except-
ing therefrom those parts thereof hereto-
fore conveyed by instruments recorded in
the office of the Recorder of Deeds as
Document No. 201251 and 463620) all in
Township 44 North, Range 8 East of the
'Third Principal Meridian, in McHenry
County, Illinois, and containing 103.54
acres of'land, more or less.
PARCEL 2: Lots 4 and 5 in Block 3 in Venice Park
Addition to McHenry, Unit No. 1, a Sub-
division according to the Plat thereof re-
corded February 25, 1941 as Document No.
152920, in McHenry County, Illinois; also
that part of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 35, Township 45 North, Range 8
East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at the
Northeast corner of Lot 5 in Block 3 of
of Venice Park Addition to McHenry, Unit
No. 1, a Subdivision of part of the South-
east Fractional Quarter of Section 26 and
part of the Northeast Fractional Quarter
of Section 35, all in Township 45 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meri-
dian, according to the Plat thereof re-
corded February 25, 1941 as Document No.
152920, in Book 7 of Plats, page 68; thence
South 76 degrees, 33 minutes East, 134.54
feet to a stake; thence Southwesterly to
a stake on the Northerly line of Waukegan
Road, which stake is 19.8 feet Southerly
of the Southeast corner of Lot 5 in Block
3 of the aforesaid Subdivision, as measured
along the Northerly line of Waukegan Road;
thence Northwesterly along the Northerly
line of Waukegan Road to the Southeast
corner of said Lot 5 in Block 3; thence
Northeasterly along the Easterly line of
said Lot 5, 108 feet to the place of be-
ginning in McHenry County, Illinois.
That in addition to the foregoing, Parcel 2 may also be used
for residential use by employees of the McHenry Hospital.
SECTION 2: That such Special Use is granted following
hearing before and the affirmative recommendation of the
Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of McHenry, following
proper application therefor, publication of notice thereof,
and public hearing, all in accordance with the provisions
of said Zoning Ordinance, and upon the following specific
f ind ing s :
1. The Special Use will not cause substantial in-
jury to the value of other property in the neighbor-
hood in which it is to be located.
2. The location and size of the Special Use, the
nature and intensity of the operation involved
in or conducted in connection with it, the size
of the site in relation to it, and the location
of the site with respect to streets giving access
to it, shall be such that it will be in harmony
with the appropriate and orderly developement of
the district in which it is to be located.

3. The location, nature and height of buildings,
walls and fences, and the nature and extent
of the landscaping on the site shall be such
that the use will not hinder or discourage the
appropriate development and use of adjacent
land and buildings, or will not impair the
value thereof.
4. Parking areas shall be of adequate size for
the particular use, properly located and suit-
ably screened from adjoining residential uses,
and the entrance and exit drives shall be laid
out so as to prevent traffic hazards and nuisances.
SECTION 3: That all Ordinances or parts thereof in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall be in effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
