ORDINANCE FOR SPECIAL ELECTION
TO FILL VACANCY
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of McHenry that:
1. There is a vacancy on the City Council of the City
of McHenry caused by the resignation of Alderman Frank
S. Hromec.
2. There shall be a special election in the City
on the 5 day of February , 1974, to fill the vacancy
in the above described offices at which election there shall
be elected one alderman to serve out the unexpired term of
office created by the aforesaid resignation.
3. Certificates of nomination or nomination papers
for the nomination of candidates shall be filed with the
City Clerk at least 64 days previous to the date of said
special election.
4. The ballot used in such election shall be in the
form provided by statute. The City Clerk shall see to the
preparation of sufficient ballots for the election, and shall
cause a sample of such ballot to be published prior to the
day of election in a newspaper of general circulation publish-
ed in the Village.
5. Not less than fifteen nor more than thirty days be-
fore the election, the Clerk shall cause to be published in
such newspaper, a Notice of Election which shall be in the
form required by law.
6. The precinct or voting district for such election
and the polling place shall be:
PRECINCT ONE: All that territory within the 4th
Aldermanic Ward, to -wit: Lakeland Park and Lakeland Shores
North of Illinois Route No. 120, City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
POLLING PLACE: Lakeland Park Community House
etc. 1717 North Sunset Ave., McHenry, Illinois
7. The Judges for election at such election
shall be:
JUDGES: Victoria M. Bottari . Betty A. Lockman,
Nedra C. Eckhart, Constance A. Giacomo,
Jeannette I. Koerper
8. The said election, and all matters pertaining
thereto, shall be conducted as nearly as possible in the
manner prescribed by the Election Code for the conduct
of a regular election for Alderman.
