AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE O
THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Mc -
HENRY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City
of McHenry, Illinois as passed, approved and as subsequently amended
and as now in effect, and the zoning map of the City of McHenry,
Illinois adopted as a part of said Zoning Ordinance, and as amended,
be and they are hereby amended as follows:
A. That the Amending Ordinance heretofore adopted on March 3,
1969 containing the following described paragraph:
"BE IT ORDAINED that the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of McHenry be, and hereby is, amended to
effect the reclassification of the above -described
premises from "R-3" Single Family District to "B-1"
Commercial Retail District, with the usage under
such classification restricted to professional and
service offices only, and no residential usage shall
be made of the premises;"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
BE IT ORDAINED that the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of McHenry be, and hereby is, amended to
effect the reclassification of the above -described
premises from "R-3" Single Family District to "B-l"
Commercial Retail District, with the usage under
such classification restricted to professional and
service offices on the ground floor, and apartment
uses above the ground floor.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Lots 17 and 18 in Block 2, Lakeland Shores Unit No. 3,
being a Subdivision of the North Half of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, lying South of the
center line of State Route No. 120, according to the
Plat thereof, recorded April 25, 1958 as Document No.
337444, in Book 13 of Plats, page 55, in McHenry County,
Illinois.
SECTION 2: That such amendment is made upon the specific re-
striction that no space in any building on either of said lots may
be occupied or used as and for an apartment until connection has
been made to the City of McHenry sanitary sewer system.
SECTION 3: That such amendment is made following hearing before
and the affirmative recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals of
the City of McHenry, following proper application therefor, publica-
tion of notice thereof, and public hearing, all in accordance with
the provisions of said Zoning Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
.ierewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
