CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS
ORDINANCE TO VACATE STREET
Ordinance vacating that way known as Venice Avenue as in-
dicated and recorded in the County Recorder's Office of McHenry
County on that plat known as, "Venice Park Addition to the City
of McHenry", and identified as a "private road".
WHEREAS the City of McHenry may have an interest in Venice
Avenue, described on the aforementioned plat as a "private road"
which would make it necessary to vacate the said Venice Avenue to
achieve certain beneficial results to the City.
WHEREAS the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois be-
lieves that the public interest will best be served by the vacation
of Venice Avenue as located and indicated in its entire length on
the above described plat, and :
WHEREAS it is their decision that the growth and develop-
Iment of the City of McHenry shall best be served by this vacation
land a subsequent re -platting of that area of Venice Park Addition
Ito the City of McHenry, and:
WHEREAS no damage shall accrue to any property owner
ladjacent to or abutting the above described street or way, and:
WHEREAS no compensation shall be due any abutting prope
Ilholder by virtue of the vacation of said above described way.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
cHenry, Illinois that:
Venice Avenue as located and described on the plat of
IlVenice Park Addition to the City of McHenry as filed for record in
the Recorder's Office of the County of McHenry, Illinois, be and is
11hereby vacated.
The above aldermen constitute the entire elected board of the City
of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
