ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS
TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
WHEREAS, a Petition for Annexation has been presented to the
City Council of the City of McHenry, and
WHEREAS, the said Petition has been found to comply with the
requirements pertinent to such annexation as found in the Illinois Revised
Statutes in that the said Petition has been properly executed by the owner
of record, there being no electors residing upon said property, and said
property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City of
McHenry.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the following des-
cribed property be, and hereby is, annexed to and made a part of the
City of McHenry:
Parcel 1: Lots 13 and 14 in Edgebrook Heights Annex,
a Subdivision of part of the Southwest Quarter of Section
35, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Prin-
cipal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded
February 14, 1957 as Document No. 319418 in Book 13
of Plats, page 9, in McHenry County, Illinois.
Parcel 2: That part of the Northeast Quarter and that
part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 44
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner
of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 2; thence Southerly
along the East line of said Northwest Quarter a distance of
350. 11 feet; thence Westerly along a line that forms an
angle of 88 degrees 33 minutes to the right with the pro-
longation of the last described course a distance of 247. 76
feet to a point on the Westerly line extended Southerly of
Lot 14 of Edgebrook Heights Annex, being a Subdivision
of part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Township
45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian;
thence Northerly along said Westerly line extended Southerly
a distance of 350. 06 feet to a point on the North line of the
Northwest Quarter of said Section 2, that is 249. 84 feet
Westerly of the Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter
of said Section 2, said point being also the Southwest
corner of said Lot 14 of Edgebrook Heights Annex; thence
Easterly along said North line a distance of 249. 84 feet to

Parcel 3: That part of the Northeast Quarter and that
part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 44
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner
of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 2; thence Southerly
along the West line of said Northeast Quarter a distance
of 350. 11 feet; thence Easterly along a line that forms an
angle of 91 degrees 27 minutes to the left with the prolonga-
tion of the last described course a distance of 74. 0 feet
to the center line of Barreville Road (E1gin Road); thence
Northerly along said center line a distance of 350. 5 feet
to the North line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section
2; thence Westerly along said North line a distance of
33. 3 feet to an angle in said North line (said angle point
is at the South Quarter corner of Section 35, Township
45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian);
thence continuing Westerly along said North line which
forms an angle of 0 degrees 07 minutes to the right with
the prolongation of the last described course a distance
of 46. 86 feet to the place of beginning, in McHenry County,
Illinois.
together with all portions of Barreville Road (Elgin Road) abutting all of
the above described premises.
THIS ORDINANCE of annexation shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval, and after the recordation of
this Ordinance, together with the Plat depicting the premises as des-
cribed herein, and accompanied by the required affidavit in regard to
notice being given to the Trustees of the McHenry Fire Protection District
and the subsequent filing of a true and correct copy of this Ordinance and
Plat with the County Clerk of McHenry County, all as by law required.
The annexation of these premises is hereby effected upon
proper motion being made, seconded and passed, on this 5th day of
October, 1970.
