AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF McHENRY
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry,
Illinois, that the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry, as passed and
approved on the 12th day of March, 1962, and such Ordinance as subse-
quently amended, be further amended by the repeal of the "Repairs"
Section under ARTICLE XX, NON -CONFORMING USES.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the "Repairs" Section of
ARTICLE XX, NON -CONFORMING USES, of the said Zoning Ordinance
shall hereafter be as follows:

Repairs: So long as a building or structure is used
or is eligible for use in a non -conforming manner
only ordinary repairs and maintenance, including
replacement of the roof covering, shall be permitted.
In no case shall such repairs include structural
alterations (as defined herein), or other work which
will extend appreciably the normal life of the building.
THIS ORDINANCE shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication, as by statute provided.
PASSED and approved this 19th day of October, 1970.
