ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN
LANDS TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
WHEREAS, a Petition for Annexation has been presented to the
City Council of the City of McHenry, and
WHEREAS, the said Petition has been found to comply with the
requirements pertinent to such annexation as found in the Illinois Revised
Statutes in that the said Petition has been properly executed by all of the
owners of record concerning the said land, and the property is contiguous
to the present corporate limits of, and is surrounded by, the City of
McHenry, and
WHEREAS, there are no electors of record residing on said
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the following des-
cribed property be, and hereby is, annexed to and made a part of the City
of McHenry:
That part of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of the
public highway known as State Highway Route No. 120,
(McHenry Road), with the West line of said Section 27,
said point being 1, 364. 4 feet, more or less, South of the
Northwest corner of the South Half of the Northwest
Quarter of said Section 27; thence Southeasterly along
said center line of said public highway, 1, 824. 90 feet
(said center line being 50 feet Southwest of and parallel
to the Northerly line of said public highway as laid out in
Lakeland Park Unit No. 2, according to the Plat thereof
recorded December 12, 1952 as Document No. 260030)
to the East line of Meadow Lane as shown on the Plat of
said Lakeland Park Unit No. 2; thence continuing South-
easterly on an extension of said center line of said public
highway, 731. 78 feet to a point for a place of beginning;
thence Southeasterly on the extension of said center line
of said public highway, 200. 0 feet; thence Northeasterly
at right angles to the last described course, 200.0 feet;
thence Northwesterly at right angles to the last described
course, 200.0 feet; thence Southwesterly at right angles
to the last described course, 200. 0 feet to the place of
beginning, in McHenry County, Illinois.

This Ordinance of A-nnexation shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval, and after the recordation of
this Ordinance, the plat depicting the premises as described herein,
accompanied by the affidavit in regard to notice as being given to the
Trustees of the McHenry Fire Protection District, and the subsequent
filing of a true and correct copy of this Ordinance and plat with the County
Clerk of McHenry County, all as by law provided.
The annexation of these premises is hereby effected upon proper
motion being made, seconded and unanimously passed this 17th day of
'November, 1969.
