ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN
LANDS TO THE CITY OF MCHENRY
Whereas, a Petition for Annexation has been
presented to the City Council of the City of McHenry by
WILLIAM R. GLOSSON and LILLIAN T. GLOSSON, his wife, and,
WHEREAS, the said Petition has been found to comply
with all requirements pertinent to annexation as set forth
in the Illinois Revised Statutes, in that the said Petition
has been properly executed by the title holder of record,
there being no electors residing on said property, and the
said property is contiguous to the present corporate limits
of the City of McHenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the following
described property be, and hereby is, annexed to and made
a part of the City of McHenry:
That part of the West Half of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 28, Township 45 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian
described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at
a point on the West line of the West Half of
said Northeast Quarter, said point being 55
rods (907.50 feet) South of the Northwest
corner thereof, thence East parallel with
the North line thereof for a distance of
1327.60 feet to a point on the East line of
the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of
said Section 28; thence South on the East
line thereof for a distance of 867.50 feet
to a point; thence Northwesterly in a straight
and direct line for a distance of 1390.30
feet to a point on the West line thereof,
said point being 443.70 feet South of the
place of beginning; thence North 443.70 feet
to the place of beginning, in the County of
McHenry, State of Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the above -described
premises shall remain in the "R-l" Single Family District
- 1 -
classification, as provided by the Municipal Code of the
City of McHenry.
This Ordinance of Annexation shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval, and
after the recordation of this Ordinance, the plat depicting
the premises as described herein, accompanied by the
affidavit in regard to notice as being given to the Trustees
of the McHenry Fire Protection District, and the subsequent
filing of a true and correct copy of this Ordinance and
plat with the County Clerk of McHenry County, all as by
law provided.
The annexation of these premises is hereby effected
upon proper motion being made,
