RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, William Baird has concluded two terms as Alderman of Ward 5; and
WHEREAS, he has served and contributed to many Council Committees, including Parks
and Recreations, serving as its Chairman, as well as the Public Works Committee and Finance: and
Personnel Committee; and
WHEREAS, he has served the Council with purpose, dedication, and honesty; and
WHEREAS, he has acted in all matters before the Council with the welfare of the City
uppermost in his mind; and
WHEREAS, he can look back with pride on his contributions including obtaining $100,000
in matching grant monies for the development of the Fox Ridge Park, and developed the Shamrock
Traveling Baseball League hosted Annual "Village of Riverwood" Council Meetings for Riverwood
School's Fifth Grade Class.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of McHenry
go on record as recognizing the many contributions and accomplishments of William Baird and
expresses its appreciation and gratitude on behalf of the citizens of McHenry.
BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be incorporated into the minutes of this
meeting and that a copy be presented to William Baird.
