AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry,
Illinois as now in effect, and the zoning maps of the City of
McHenry, Illinois adopted as a part of said Ordinance be and they
are hereby amended as follows:
A. That Section 1, Paragraph B of the amendatory ordinance
adopted September 17, 1962, affecting the following described
property:
Lots 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 and 45
(except the North 41 feet of said Lot 45) in the
Third Addition to Cooney Heights, a subdivision in
the City of McHenry according to the Plat thereof
recorded in McHenry County, Illinois,
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1.
B. That pursuant to the specific request of the
Owner -Petitioner, such reclassification is
made conditioned that said property be improved
with no more than twenty dwelling units."
SECTION 2.
That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry,
Illinois as now in effect, and the zoning maps of the City of
McHenry, Illinois adopted as a part of said Ordinance be and they
are hereby amended as follows:
A. That the zoning classification of the following described
property be and the same is hereby changed from "R-3" Single -Family
District to "R-4" Multi -Family District:

That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 34, Town-
ship 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Mer-
idian described as follows: Beginning at a point 1063.7
feet south of the northeast corner of said Section 34;
thence northwesterly along the northeasterly line of
Logan Street, 125.79 feet to a point for a place of be-
ginning; thence continuing northwesterly along the said
northeasterly line of Logan Street, 334 feet; thence
northeasterly 157.5 feet on a course parallel to the
easterly line of South Street as extended; thence south-
easterly on course parallel to the northeasterly line of
Logan Street, 308 feet, more or less, to the east line
of said Section 34; thence south 38 feet, more or less,
along the east line of said Section 34; thence south-
westerly 126 feet, more or less, to the place of be-
ginning, in McHenry County, Illinois.
B. That pursuant to the specific request of the Owner -Petitioner,
such reclassification is made conditioned that said property be im-
proved with no more than eight dwelling units and eight garages.
SECTION 3: That such amendment is made following proper appli-
cation having been made therefor before the City of McHenry Zoning
Board of Appeals, with publication of notice of the hearing thereon,
and public hearing held by and before the City of McHenry Zoning
Board of Appeals.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect fro and after its passage
