ANNEXATION ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry has recently annexed certain
areas lying Westerly of its existing City limits commonly known as all
lots and blocks in Lakeland Park, Unit No. 1, Lakeland Park, Unit No.
2, Lakeland Park, Unit No. 3, and Lakeland Park, Unit No. 4, together
with all lots and blocks in Lakeland Shores, Unit No. 1 and Lakeland
Shores, Unit No. 2, as well as Block 3 in Lakeland Shores, Unit No. 3
(excepting and reserving therefrom Lot 19), which premises abut Illinois
State Route 120, and
WHEREAS, it is essential to annex to the City of McHenry all
part of Illinois State Route 120 which now lies within the existing corpor-
ate limits of the said City of McHenry in order that the police power of
the City may be implemented thereby;
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED that the following described premises
be and hereby are annexed to the City of McHenry, Illinois:
All that part of Illinois State Route 120 lying
between the Westerly line of Lakeland Park,
Unit No. 3, as extended across said State Route
120, South, and the Northeast Quarter line of
the Southeast Quarter of Section 27; Township
45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in McHenry County, Illinois.
A plat of the territory hereby annexed is attached hereto and
made a part hereof by this reference.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and recordation, as by statute provided.
The annexation of this territory is hereby effected by proper
motion bei made, seconded and unanimously passed on this _ da)
