WHEREAS, the City of McHenry did. on the 5th day of December.
1966, cause certain tracts, lots, parcels and areas of land abutting the
Municipal limits to the West to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the effect of such annexation did cause a certain
plot of ground to be completely surrounded by corporate territories,
said plot being described as follows:
and.
That part of Section V. Township 45 North. Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of the
public highway known as State Highway Route No. 120,
(McHenry Road). with the West line of said Section 27.
said point being 1.364.4 feet. more or less. South of the
Northwest corner of the South Half of the Northwest
Quarter of said Section 27; thence Southeasterly along
said center line of said public highway. 1.824.90 feet
(said center line being 50 feet Southwest of and parallel
to the Northerly line of said public highway as laid out in
Lakeland Park Unit No. 2. according to the Plat thereof
recorded December 12. 1952 as Document No. 260030)
to the East line of Meadow Lane as shown on the Plat of
said Lakeland Park Unit No. 2; thence continuing South-
easterly on an extension of said center line of said public
highway. 731.78 feet to a point for a place of beginning;
thence Southeasterly on the extension of said center line
of said public highway. 200.0 feet; thence Northeasterly
at right angles to the last described course. 200. 0 feet;
thence Northwesterly at right angles to the last described
course. 200. 0 feet; thence Southwesterly at right angles
to the last described course. 200.0 feet to the place of
beginning, in McHenry County. Illinois.
WHEREAS, it is considered to the beat interest of the owners of
the parcel concerned and to the beat interest of the residents of the City
of McHenry to accomplish the annexation of such plot by reason of its
being totally surrounded;
NOW. THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED that the above -described plot of land.
being totally surrounded by the corporate areas of the
City of McHenry, be and hereby is annexed.
A plat of the territory hereby annexed is attached hereto and
made a part hereof by this reference.

This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and recordation, as by statute provided.
The annexation of this territory is hereby effected by proper
motion being made. seconded and unanimously passed on this 9th day

I, EARL R. WALSH, City Clerk of the City of McHenry in the
County of McHenry and State of Illinois, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the
annexed and foregoing is a true and correct copy of an Ordinance on file
in my office entitled "Annexation Ordinance".
I DO FUR THER CER TIFY that the s aid Ordinance was pas s ed by
the City Council of the City of McHenry at a special meeting of said City
Council duly held on the 9th day of January, 1967; that at said meeting,
on motion duly made and seconded that said Ordinance do pass, the roll
of members of said City Council was called and the vote of each member
present on the question of the passage of said Ordinance was duly and
separately taken by ayes and nays, and his name and vote recorded in the
minutes of said City Council; that it appears from such record that the
result of said roll call vote so taken was as follows:
Ayes: 7
Nays: 0
Absent: 1
and that the number of affirmative votes so cast constitutes a majority of
all the members of the City Council authorized by law to be elected for
said City.
I DO FURTHER CERTIFY that the said Ordinance was deposited in
my office on the loth day of January, 1967.
I DO FURTHER CERTIFY that the said Ordinance, after passage
thereof by the said City Council, was approved by the Mayor of the City.
I DO FURTHER CERTIFY that the original Ordinance, of which
the foregoing is a true copy, is entrusted to my care for safe keeping,
and that I am the lawful keeper of the same.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
the corporate seal of the City of McHenry aforesaid, at the said City, in
the County and State aforesaid, this loth day of January, 1967.
