LANDS TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
WHEREAS, the revised statutes of the State of Illinois, Chapter
24, Section 7-1-13, gives the municipalities of the State of Illinois the
power to annex lands surrounded by municipal corporations under the
terms and conditions as are set forth in said above -identified Chapter
and Section; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be to the best interest of the City
of McHenry, Illinois, and to its citizens to effect such annexations of
lands as described below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of McHenry
that the following described land be, and hereby is, annexed to and made
a part of the municipality of the City of McHenry by the authority given
to the municipality under Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 of the revised
statutes of the State of Illinois:
The Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 45 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, (except
that part thereof falling in Edgebrook Heights Addition
to McHenry, according to the plat thereof recorded
January 6, 1953, as Document 260822, in Book 11 of
Plats, page 68; ALSO except that part- thereof falling
in Edgebrook Heights Addition to McHenry Unit No. 1,
according to the plat thereof recorded April 25, 1957
as Document 322211, in Book 13 of Plats, page 12;
ALSO except that part thereof falling in Edgebrook
Heights Annex, according to the plat thereof recorded
February 14, 1957 as Document 319418, in Book 13
of Plats, page 9; ALSO except that part thereof conveyed
by Glenn Draper and Louise E. Draper, his wife, to the
First Baptist Church of McHenry, by Warranty Deed
recorded November 29, 1962 as Document 410024; ALSO
except that part thereof conveyed by Elmer H. Hettermann
and Lillian Hettermann, his wife, to the First Baptist
Church of McHenry, by Warranty Deed recorded November
29, 1962 as Document 410025; ALSO except that part thereof
conveyed by Gerhard Barbier and Paula Barbier, his wife,
to the First Baptist Church of McHenry, by Warranty Deed
recorded November 29, 1962, as Document 410026), in
McHenry County, Illinois.
A plat of the territory hereby annexed is attached hereto and made a
part hereof by this reference.
This ordinance of annexation shall be in full force and effect

this ordinance, the plat depicting the premises as described herein,
accompanied by the affidavit in regard to notice as being given to the
Trustees of the McHenry Fire Protection District, and the subsequent
filing of a true and correct copy of this ordinance and plat with the
County Clerk of McHenry County, all as by law provided.
The annexation of these premises is hereby effected upon
proper motion being made, seconded and unanimously passed this 18th
day of April, 1966.
