HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - O-66-33.B - 02/21/1966 - RECLASS TO INDUSTRIAL LOT 26 32.8 ACRESAN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows: SECTION 1: That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry, Illinois, as passed, approved, and as subsequently amended, and the zoning map of the City of McHenry, Illinois, adopted as a part of the said Zoning Ordinance be and they are hereby amended as follows: A. That the zoning classification of the following described property, recently annexed to the City of McHenry, be established as "Industrial Park District": Parcel 1 (containing approximately 32.8 acres): Lot 26 of the County Clerk's Plat of the East Half of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof re- corded May 6, 1902 in Book 2 of Plats, page 41, in McHenry County, Illinois; ALSO part of Lot 24 of the County Clerk's Plat of part of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded May 6, 1902 in Book 2 of Plats, page 41, in McHenry County, Illinois, described as follows: Com- mencing at the point of intersection of the North and South Quarter Section line of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, with the center of the highway known as Route 120; thence south- easterly along the center of said highway a distance of 785 feet to a point for a place of beginning; thence south- easterly being on a continuation of the center of said highway, a distance of 342.97 feet; thence north being on a line forming an angle of 104 degrees and 40 minutes to the left with a prolongation of the last described line for a distance of 1304.8 feet; thence northwesterly being on a line forming an angle of 72 degrees and 45 minutes to the left with a prolongation of the last described line, A distance of 347.42 feet; thence south on a line forming an angle of 107 degrees and 15 minutes to the left with a prolongation of the last described 'line,- for a distance of 1321.95 feet to the place of beginning, in McHenry County, Illinoist (excepting and reserving therefrom the premises as described in Parcel 2). B. That the zoning classification of the following described property, recently annexed to the City of McHenry, be established as "B-1 Commercial Retail District:" Parcel 2 (containing approximately 6.5 acres): That part -of the east 10.00 acres of Lot 24 and that part of Lot 26 of the County Clerk's Plat in the East Half of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded in the.Recorder's Office of McHenry County, Illinois on May 6, 1902 in Book 2 of Plats on page 41, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west line of the east 10.00 acres of said Lot 24, said point also being in the center line of State Route 120; thence southeasterly along the center line of said State Route 120 for a distance of 435.56 feet to a point of curve;in said center line; thence south- easterly along said center line, being on a curve, convex northeasterly, for a distance of 129.70 feet, (chord measurement) to a point of intersection of said center line and the east line of said Lot 26; thence north on the east line of said Lot 26 for a distance of 597.68 feet to a point; thence west at right angles to the last described line, at the last described point for a distance of 546.00 feet to a point on the west line of the east 10.00 acres of said Lot 24; thence south 451.68 feet to the place of beginning, in McHenry County, Illinois. SECTION 2: That such classification is made pursuant to the affirmative recommendation of all members of said Zoning Board of Appeals voting upon such application, following proper application therefor, publication of notice thereof, and public hearing, in accordance with the provisions of said Zoning Ordinance. SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. -2- SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
