ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN
LANDS TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
WHEREAS, a Petition for Annexation of Lands has been pre-
sented to the City Council of the City of McHenry, and
WHEREAS, the said Petition has been found to comply with the
requirements pertinent to such annexation as found in the Illinois
Revised Statutes, in that the said Petition has been properly executed
by all of the owners of record and all of the electors of record residing
on said property, and said property being contiguous to the present
corporate limits of the City of McHenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the following des-
cribed property be, and hereby is, annexed to and a part of the City of
McHenry -
Parcel 1: Lot 26 of the County Clerk's Plat of the East
HalfoS-of27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof
recorded May 6, 1902 in Book 2 of Plats, page 41, in
McHenry County, Illinois; ALSO
Parcel 2: Part of Lot 24 of the County Clerk's Plat of
part of ection 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof
recorded May 6, 1902 in Book 2 of Plats, page 41, in
McHenry County, Illinois, described as follows: Commencing
at the point of intersection of the North and South Quarter
Section line of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, with the center of the
highway known as Route 120; thence Southeasterly along
the center of said highway a distance of 785 feet to a point
for a place of beginning; thence Southeasterly being on a
continuation of the center of said highway, a distance of
342. 97 feet; thence North being on a line forming an angle
of 104 degrees and 40 minutes to the left with a prolongation
of the last described line for a distance of 1304. 8 feet;
thence Northwesterly being on a line forming an angle of
72 degrees and 45 minutes to the left with a prolongation
of the last described line, a distance of 347. 42 feet; thence
South on a line forming an angle of 107 degrees and 15 minutes
to the left with a prolongation of the last described line, for
a distance of 1321. 95 feet to the place of beginning, in
McHenry County, Illinois.
The annexation shall be completed by the filing for record of a certified
copy of this Ordinance of Annexation, a plat of the premises as herein
described, and an affidavit in regard to notice being given to the Trustee
of the McHenry Fire Protection District, all as by law provided.

I. EARL R. WALSH, do hereby certify that I am the duly
qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of McHenry, Illinois, and
that the City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, has duly passed
the attached Ordinance Annexing Certain Lands to the City of McHenry
at a regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 3rd day of
January , 19 66 , at which meeting the Mayor and all of the
Aldermen of the City of McHenry were present and voting.
