AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry,
Illinois as now in effect, and the zoning maps of the City of McHenry,
Illinois adopted as a part of said Ordinance be and they are hereby
amended as follows:
A. That a variation of the minimum frontage and minimum
area regulations of the "I-4" Heavy Industrial District classification
be granted for the following described property to permit the use of
said property for a bulk oil and gasoline storage area:
A parcel of land located in the Southeast Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range
8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, and in the North-
east Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 34, Town-
ship 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Commencing at a point on the Section
line between Sections 34 and 35 that is 38.24 feet south of
the Section Corner for a place of beginning; thence north-
westerly on a line forming an angle of 139 degrees, 35
minutes to the right with a prolongation southerly of the
last described line for a distance of 305.18 feet; thence
northeasterly on a line forming an angle of 61 degrees,
37 minutes to the right with a prolongation of the last
described line for a distance of 172 feet to a point on
the south line of Main Street; thence southeasterly along
the south line of Main Street for a distance of 20 feet;
thence southwesterly on a line forming an angle of 91 de-
grees, 36 minutes to the right with a prolongation of the
last described line for a distance of 160.7 feet to a point;
thence southeasterly on a line forming an angle of 61 de-
grees, 37 minutes to the left with a prolongation of the
last described line for a distance of 31.1 feet to a point;
thence southeasterly on a line forming an angle of 30 de-
grees, 35 minutes to the left with a prolongation of the
last described line a distance of 164.6 feet, more or less
to the east line of Section 27; thence south along the east
line of Section 27 and Section 34 aforesaid, to the place
of beginning, in McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 2: That such variation of the provisions of said
Zoning Ordinance is made pursuant to the affirmative findings and the
affirmative recommendation of all members of the City of McHenry
Zoning Board of Appeals, with publication of notice of the hearing
thereon, and public hearing held by and before the City of McHenry
Zoning Board of Appeals.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts thereof in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall be in effect from
ind after its passage and approval according to law.
