AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF McHENRY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry,
Illi-no-ts as now in effect, and the zoning maps of the City of McHenry,
Illinois adopted as a part of said Ordinance be and they are hereby
amended as follows:
A. That the following described property be designated as
residential property and its zoning classification established as "R-3"
Single -Family Residence District:
PARCEL 1: That part of the North Half of the South-
east Quarter of Section 35, Township 45 North, Range 8
East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as
follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of the
North Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 35;
thence Easterly along the North line of said Southeast
Quarter, a distance of 33.0 feet to the East line of
Elgin Road for a place of beginning; thence Southerly
along said East line, a distance of 365.35 feet; thence
Easterly parallel with the North line of said Northeast
Quarter, a distance of 735.89 feet; thence Northerly at
right angles to the last described course, a distance
of 325.35 feet; thence Westerly at right angles to the
last described course and parallel with the North line
of said Northeast Quarter, a distance of 179.0 feet;
thence Northerly along a line that forms an angle of
89 degrees 15 minutes to the right with the prolongation
of the last described course, a distance of 40.0 feet
to the North line of the Southeast Quarter of said Sec-
tion 35; thence Westerly along said North line, a dis-
tance of 553.40 feet to the place of beginning, con-
taining 5.99 acres more or less; ALSO
PARCEL 2: That part of the North Half of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 35, Township 45 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the North Half of
the Southeast Quarter of said Section 35; thence Easterly
along the North line of said Southeast Quarter of said
Section 35, a distance of 33.0 feet to the East line of
Elgin Road; thence Southerly along said East line, a
distance of 365.35 feet for the place of beginning;
thence East parallel with the North line of said South-
east Quarter, a distance of 735.89 feet; thence Southerly
at right angles to the last described course, a distance
of 953.63 feet to the North line of Country Club Estates,
being a subdivision of part of the South Half of the
Southeast Quarter of said Section 35; thence Westerly
along said North line, being also the South line of the
North Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 35,
a distance of 619.75 feet to the West line of a tract
of land conveyed to the Western United Gas and Electric
Company by deed recorded in Book 180 of Deeds, page 61;
thence Northerly along the East line of said tract, a
distance of 66.0 feet to the Northeast corner thereof;
thence Westerly along the North line of said tract being
parallel with the South line of the North Half of said
Southeast Quarter, a distance of 124.0 feet to the East
line of Elgin Road; thence Northerly along said East line,
a distance of 887.40 feet to the place of beginning,
containing 16.00 acres more or less, in McHenry County,
Illinois.
SECTION 2: That said designation and establishment of
zoning classification is made following proper application having been
made therefor before the City of McHenry Zoning Board of Appeals, with
publication of notice of the hearing thereon, and public hearing held
by and before the City of McHenry Zoning Board of Appeals, and upon
the unanimous affirmative recommendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
