O R D I N A N C E
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, that the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry
covering the use of signs within the Corporation be, and
hereby is, varied as to the following described property:
Lot 3 and the North 16 feet of Lot 4 in
Block 6 of Lakeview Addition to McHenry,
McHenry County, Illinois,
to the extent that Ladd Enterprises, Inc. shall be permitted
to place upon this property a sign containing a designation
of the subdivision development and a directional arrow
towards such development, provided that such sign shall not
be more than 30 square feet in area, the overall height of
the sign shall not be more than 4 feet from ground level,
and the sign shall not be erected less than 12 feet Westerly
of the West sidewalk line as established on the above des-
cribed property. The sign shall not be illuminated at any
time, and the right to use the premises as herein granted
shall terminate six months after this date, and Ladd
Enterprises, Inc. shall be obliged to remove the said sign
on or before said date at its expense.
Motion to amend the Sign Ordinance was made by
Conway and seconded by Smith.
Voting Aye: Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck,
Pitzen and Smith.
Voting Naye: None.
The Mayor declared the Zoning Ordinance amended.
