O R D I N A N C E
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of McHenry,
Illinois, that the following described property be and hereby is annexed
to the City of McHenry:
Part of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 35, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian in McHenry County, Illinois,
described as follows:
PARCEL NO. 1: Commencing at the Northwest corner
of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section
35; thence Easterly along the North line of said South-
east Quarter, a distance of 33. 0 feet to the East line of
Elgin Road for the place of beginning; thence Southerly
along said East line, a distance of 365. 35 feet; thence
Easterly parallel with the North line of said Northeast
Quarter, a distance of 735. 89 feet; thence Northerly
at right angles to the last described course, a distance
of 325. 35 feet; thence Westerly at right angles to the
last described course and parallel with the North line
of said Northeast Quarter, a distance of 179. 0 feet;
thence Northerly along a line that forms an angle of
89 degrees 15 minutes to the right with the prolongation
of the last described course, a distance of 40. 0 feet to
the North line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section
35; thence Westerly along said North line, a distance
of 553. 40 feet to the place of beginning; containing
5.99 acres more or less.
PARCEL NO. 2: Commencing at the Northwest corner
of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section
35; thence Easterly along the North line of said South-
east Quarter of said Section 35, a distance of 33. 0 feet
to the East line of Elgin Road; thence Southerly along
said East line, a distance of 365. 35 feet for the place of
beginning; thence East parallel with the North line of
said Southeast Quarter, a distance of 735. 89 feet; thence
Southerly at right angles to the last described course a
distance of 953. 63 feet to the North line of Country Club
Estates, being a subdivision of part of the South Half of
the Southeast Quarter of said Section 35; thence Westerly
along said North line, being also the South line of the
North Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 35,
a distance of 619. 75 feet to the West line of a tract of
land conveyed to the Western United Gas and Electric
Company by deed recorded in Book 180 of Deeds, page
61; thence Northerly along the East line of said tract,
a distance of 66. 0 feet to the Northeast corner thereof;
thence Westerly along the North line of said tract being
parallel with the South line of the North Half of said
Southeast Quarter, a distance of 124. 0 feet to the East
line of Elgin Road; thence Northerly along said East
line, a distance of 887. 40 feet to the place of beginning;
containing 16. 00 acres more or less.
by reason of proper petition properly filed with the Said City Council
on the 6th day of July, 1964.
