ORDINANCE ANNEXING LANDS
TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of McHenry, County of
McHenry, and State of Illinois, has been presented with a Petition for
Annexation to the City of McHenry, Illinois, by the owner of record and there
being no electors residing in the following described property:
and
Of part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 35, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in McHenry County, Illinois, lying on
the Westerly side of the State Highway described as follows:
Commencing at the West Quarter corner of said Section 35,
thence Southerly along the West line of said Southwest
Quarter, 205.05 feet to a place of beginning; thence Easterly,
along a line parallel with the East and West Quarter Section
line, 639. 82 feet to an intersection with the West line of the
State Highway know known as State Route 31; thence Southerly
along the West line of said State Highway, 115.00 feet; thence
Westerly, along a line parallel with said East and West
Quarter Section line, 319. 52 feet; thence Southerly, parallel
with the West line of the aforesaid Southwest Quarter, 290. 51
feet; thence Westerly, parallel with the East and West Quarter
Section line, 323.00 feet to an intersection with the West line
of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 35; thence Northerly,
along said West line, 405. 52 feet to the place of beginning,
WHEREAS, the said owner has executed the said Petition as such
owner, and has complied with all of the requirements of the Statutes of the
State of Illinois, as revised and amended, in regard to such annexation, and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 24, Section 7, of the
j Illinois Revised Statutes, as amended, provides that such Petition duly pre-
sented and executed by all of the property owners and all of the electors of an
area may be acted upon and the said territory annexed by action of the City
Council in passing an Ordinance accomplishing same, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, to be in the best interests of the public welfare of the in-
habitants of the said City and the area as described, to effect such annexation
as petitioned:

NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, that the land hereinbefore described
in this Ordinance, be and hereby is included within the
corporate limits of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
