ORDINANCE ANNEXING LANDS
TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of McHenry, County of
McHenry, and State of Illinois, has been presented with a Petition for
Annexation to the City of McHenry, Illinois, by all of the owners of
record and all of the electors residing in the following described
property -
and
Lots 15 and 16 in Owen, Stenger & Allen's First Addition
to the City of McHenry, being a Subdivision of part of the
North Half of Fractional Sections 35 and 36, Township 45
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
lying West of the Fox River, according to the Plat thereof
recorded April 12, 1922 as Document No. 54652 in Book
4 of Plats at page 54, in McHenry County, Illinois,
WHEREAS, the said owners and electors have executed the said
Petition as owners and electors, have sworn to the contents of the
Petition, and have in all other ways complied with all of the require-
ments of the revised statutes of the State of Illinois, as set forth in
Chapter 24, Section 7-1-7 thereof, and
WHEREAS, under the said Chapter and Section hereinabove set
forth, a Petition duly presented and executed in compliance therewith
may be acted upon by the City Council of the City of McHenry, and the
territory as described annexed by ordinance action of the said City
Council, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, Illinois,_ that the annexation of the subject property would be
to the best interests of the general public inhabiting the said City, and
to the best interests of the area described, to effect such annexation as
petitioned;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, that the premises described as
follows:

Lots 15 and 16 in Owen, Stenger & Allen's
First Addition to the City of McHenry, being
a Subdivision of part of the North Half of
Fractional Sections 35 and 36, Township 45
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, lying West of the Fox River,
according to the Plat thereof recorded April
12, 1922 as Document No. 54652 in Book 4
of Plats at page 54, in McHenry County,
Illinois,
be and hereby are annexed to the municipal corporation
of the City of McHenry and shall hereafter be included
within the corporate limits of the said City of McHenry,
Illinois.

CERTIFICATION
I, EARL R. WALSH, do hereby certify that I am the City Clerk
of the City of McHenry, Illinois, and that the said City Council of the
City of McHenry has duly passed the attached "Ordinance Annexing
Lands to the City of McHenry, Illinois" at a regular meeting of the
said City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, on the 19th day of
November, A. D. 1962, at which meeting the Mayor and all of the
Aldermen of the City of McHenry were present and voting.
I further certify that the attached Ordinance annexing lands to
the City of McHenry, Illinois, was duly signed by the Mayor of the City
of McHenry and all of the Aldermen, as well as by myself as City
Clerk.
I further certify that the attached plat is a true, correct, and
accurate representation of the territory annexed to the City of McHenry
by the attached Ordinance.
I further certify that the attached Ordinance was adopted by the
City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, subsequent to the receipt
by the City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, of a petition
concerning the said property signed by all of the property owners of
record in said territory so annexed. The petition was prepared, signed,
and certified in the manner by statute made and provided under the
revised Statutes of the State of Illinois, Chapter 24, Section 7-.1-7.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have set my hand and caused to be
affixed the seal of the City of McHenry, Illinois, this / y day of
November, A. D. 1962.
