ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry,
Illinois, that the zoning classification "R-1" Residential under the
existing Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry of the following
described property.
Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township
45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner
of Lot 4 of Hanleyts First Addition to West McHenry,
said plat being recorded in Recorders Office of McHenry
County, Illinois in Book 1 of Plats on Page 44; thence
Northwesterly along the Southerly line of said subdivision
and said Southerly line extended for a distance of 330
feet to a point, said point being the most Westerly corner
of a tract of land deeded by George A. Hanley and Maude
Hanley, his wife, to Bertha Troyke dated November 30,
1937 and recorded December 21, 1937 in Book 232 of Deeds
on Page 75 of McHenry County records; thence Southwesterly
at right angles to the last described line for a distance of
90. 7 feet to a point in the center of a drainage ditch; thence
Southeasterly along the center of said drainage ditch being
on a line forming an angle of 56 degrees 57 minutes to
the right with a prolongation of the last described line for
a distance of 298. 1 feet to the most Westerly corner of a
parcel of land deeded by Martin Cooney and Mary C.
Heckmann, trustees of the John B. Kelter Estate Trust
to George P. Freund under date of April 17, 1950 and
recorded in Book 359 on Page 385 of McHenry County
records; thence Northeasterly along the Northwesterly
line of said tract of land so deeded for a distance of 154. 5
feet to a point; thence Northeasterly on a line forming an
angle of 0 degrees 37 minutes to the right with a prolonga-
tion of the last described line for a distance of 111. 97 feet
to the place of beginning and containing 1. 217 acres of land
more or less in McHenry County, Illinois.
be and hereby is changed to "I-1" Light Industrial by this ordinance
and the Zoning Map of the City of McHenry shall indicate accordingly.
This ordinance results from the Petition filed by Lee J. Cooney
as substitute Petitioner for Martin Cooney, deceased, and pursuant to
recommendation for such change in classification as given by the City
of McHenry Zoning Board of Appeals.
THIS ORDINANCE shall be in full force and effect from and
