Resolution
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry Parks and Recreation Committee believes in the purchase and
maintenance of open space for the enjoyment of the City of McHenry residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry obtains monies from land developers for the purpose of securing
park lands and improvements of park facilities in the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, the monies collected are authorized by City Ordinance as Parks an Recreation Developer
Donation Fees; and
WHEREAS, the McHenry City Council by Resolution No. R-99-005 on March 3, 1999 authorized the
allocation of Parks and Recreation Developer Donation Fees as follows:
Fifty Percent (50%) to a Recreational Facility Fund Account
Fifty Percent (50%) to the Parks Developer Donations Fund Account; and
WHEREAS, the McHenry City Council is considering and reviewing the feasibility of constructing a
recreational facility in the City of McHenry and numerous other park improvement projects including the
Jaycees Park Walkway, Knox Park Soccer Field renovation, Althoff Park drainage improvements, Miller
Riverfront Park Boardwalk, and replacement of various playground equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and McHenry City Council that the City of
McHenry goes on record as discontinuing the 50150 distribution of Parks Developer Donation Funds to the
Recreation Center Fund Account.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that One Hundred Percent (100%) of all Parks and Recreation
Developer Donation Fees collected as of May 1, 2000 be deposited in the Parks Developer Donations Fund
Account.
