AN ORDINANCE CREATITTG A S=, DiA?T ZONING BOARD
OF APPEALS FOR A 11TITTICIPAL CORPORATIOTT
MEMO, The State Legislature of the State of Illinois did, by an
Act approved on July 15, 1953, amend the statutory regulations concerning
enforcement officers of the Board of Appeals of municipal corporations, and
Y?TI- EAS, the term of office of existing members of municipal Boards
of Appeal -mere terminated as of July 15, 1953, and
WMEAS, the five man Zoning Board of Appeals system was abolished
by the Act of July 15, 1953,
NCAV THEREFOR, Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
KIcHenry, County of 1acHenry, State of Illinois, that
1. Pursuant to the requirements of Section 73-3
of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Statutes as made and provided,
that the Zoning Board of Appeals as duly constituted under
the laws of the State of Illinois prior to July 15, 1953, be
and is hereby abolished.
2. That pursuant to the amended Illinois Statutes
as set forth in Chapter 24 of Section 73-3, a seven man Zoning
Board of Appeals is hereby created to carry out such duties as
are snecifically provided in the Zoning Ordinance of the City
of McHenry, Illinois.
3. That pursuant to said statute, Homer G. Fitzgerald
is appointed to serve a one year term as a member of such
Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of McHenry;
That pursuant to said statute, E. J. Gausden
is appointed to serve a two year term as a member of such
Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of McHenry;
That pursuant to said statute, Carl J. Freund
is appointed to serve a three year term as a member of such
Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of 11cTIenr7;
That pursuant to said statute, Henry B. Tonyan
is appointed to serve a four year term as a member of such
Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of McHenry;
That pursuant to said statute, John H. Greene
is appointed to serve a five year term as a member of such
Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of McHenry;
That pursuant to said statute, Edward J. Thennes
is appointed to serve a six year term as a member of such
Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of 1'.cHenry;
That pursuant to said statute, Floyd E. Covalt
is appointed to serve a seven year term as a member of suc
Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of 1,11cHenr7.,
and that thereafter the terms of office of members of the
