ORDINANCE
Ordinance repealing an ordinance passed by the City Council)
of the City of McHenry, Illinois on the ti /k. day of ND J/• 1951
by which a part of Venice Avenue, City of McHenry was vacated.
W'HEREAu, The City Council of the City of McHenry did, on
the 5 TA • day of 140 V. 1951 pass a certain ordinance vacating a
part of Venice Avenue under the powers vested in them by the
Statute of the State of Illinois and the I:Iunicipal Code of the
City of Pv',cHenry as made and provided; and,
WHEREAS, certain changes and conditions have been effecte�
which make unnecessary the vacation as previously effected.
WHEREAS certain conditions agreed to prior to the passage'
of said ordinance have not been made.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois that the ordinance
vacating;
That part of Venice Avenue as laid out in Venice Park
Addition to McHenry Unit No. 1 lying Westekly of the
following described line: Beginning at the Southeast
corner of Lot Nine (9), Block Twenty-four (24) of the
original town of McHenry being the intersection of the
Westerly line of Court Street with the Northerly line
of Venice Avenue, thence along the Westerly line of
Court Street extended Southerly for a distance of 3792
feet, thence Southerly 34.55 feet to a point in the
Northerly line of Lot Three (3) of said Venice Park
Addition, said point being 25 feet Westerly from the
Northeast omrner of said Lot Three (3).
