HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - O-41-3 - 08/04/1941 - VACATE PART OF VENICE AVENUE4 KINNE iRNEYS MCH EN RY a CRYSTAL LAKE, ILLINOIS CITY OF MCHENRY, McIDZW COUNTf, ILLINOIS ORDINANCE TO VACATE PART OF STREET Ordinance vacating part of that way known as Venice Avenue in the Original Plat of Venice Park Addition to McHenry Unit No. 1, recorded in the County Recorder's Office of McHenry County, Illinois in Book 7 of Plats, page 68 on the 25th day of February, 1941. WHEREAS the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois believes that the public interest will best be served by the vacation of part of Venice Avenue as located on the above described plat, and; YHEREAS it is their decision that the growth of the City of McHenry shall be favorably effected by such vacation, and; WHEREAS no damage shall accrue to any property holder abutting the above described street or way, and; IfEREAS no compensation shall be due any abutting property holder by virtue of the vacation of said above described way, and; IMEREAS all interested title holders of record have joined in assenting Ito said vacation of a part of Venice Avenue. NOW4 THEREFORE be it ordained by the City Council of the City of McH 1IMcHenry County, Illinois that: That part of Venice Avenue as laid out in Venice Park Addition to McHenry Unit No. 1 lying Westerly of the following described line: .Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot Nine (9), Block Twenty - Four (24) of the original town of McHenry being the intersection of the Westerly line of Court Street with the Northerly line of Venice Avenue, thence along the Westerly line of Court Street extended Southerly for a distance of 37.2 feet, thence Southerly 34-55 feet to a point in the Northerly line of Lot Three (3) of said Venice Park Addition, said point being 25 feet Westerly from the Northeast corner of said Lot Three (3). The and hereby is vacated. �l The above alderman constitute the entire elected board of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
