AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS
OF CHAPTER 13, TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES,
OF THE CITY OF McHENRY MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY
COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: That Article IV be deleted in its entirety and replaced
as follows:
ARTICLE IV
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS
13-401 RIGHT TURN ONLY LANES. It shall be unlawful for the
operator of any vehicle to drive such vehicle in any
designated 'Right Turn Only' lane except for making a
right turn. The following lanes are designated as 'Right
Turn Only' lanes:
Northbound curb lane on Green Street at Elm Street
Riverside Drive Parking Lot exit at Elm Street (MC-85-
333;MC-91-563).
13-402 NO LEFT TURNS. It shall be unlawful for the operator of
any vehicle to make a left-hand turn from the northbound
or southbound lanes of Green Street onto Elm Street during
the hours of:
7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
SECTION 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision
of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00)
nor more than Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750.00) for each offense
committed on each day during, or on which, a violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 3: All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict with the
terms and provisions hereof, be and the same are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by
and under the authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry,
Illinois.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
