AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS
OF CHAPTER 13, TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES,
OF THE CITY OF McHENRY MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY,
McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 13 of the City of McHenry Municipal Code, is
hereby amended as follows:
Section 13-805 be repealed and replaced as follows:
13-805 Prohibited Motor Vehicle Operation on Martin Road Between
Illinois Route 120 and Ringwood Road.
No truck or any vehicle or combination of vehicles equipped
with pneumatic tires, unladen or with load, when the gross
weight on the road surface exceeds 8,000 pounds, shall be
operated on Martin Road between Illinois route 120 and
Ringwood Road, between the dates of April 15th and June
13th inclusive.
The Provisions of this section do not apply to refuse and
recycling vehicles on the designated pickup day, school
buses on their scheduled routs, and trucks that are providing
deliveries and service.
SECTION 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this
ordinance shall be fined not less than Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than
Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750.00) for each offense committed on each day
during, or on which, a violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 3: All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict with the terms
and provisions hereof, be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and
under the authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
