MC-97-675 An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. MC97-670 Relating to Pleasure Drives In the City of McHenry WHEREAS, the City Council enacted ordinance, no. MC97-670 on March 19, 1997 and desires to amend said ordinance, as follows: BE IT ORDAINED by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF McHENRY, McHenry County, Illinois, as follows: SECTION 1: Section 16-003 of Article XVI of the motor vehicle and traffic regulation ordinance of the City of McHenry shall be replaced with the following provision: 16-003 Motor Vehicle traffic on Orleans Drive and River- side Drive, as designated in Section 16-002, above, shall be regulated as follows: (a) Orleans Street. 1. Motor Vehicle traffic on Orleans Street shall be limited to (i) First Division Vehicles, (ij) Second Division Vehicles registered with the Secretary of State as Class B license plates --and (iii) Second Division Vehicles with residential destinations along Orleans Street and Local or Secondary Residential Streets intersecting Orleans Street, e.g., refuse and recycling vehicles on the designated pickup days, school buses on their scheduled routes and trucks that are provid- ing deliveries and service; 2. The intersections of Orleans Street and Donovan Street, Leonard Avenue and Prestwick Street, are hereby designated crosswalks and shall be marked and signed accordingly. (b) Riverside Drive. Motor Vehicle traffic on Riverside Drive shall be limited to (i) First Division Vehicles,Second Division Vehicles �qj; EatPrPd with the Sec etary of .State as Class B license plates and (iii) Second Division vehicles with residential destinations along Riverside Drive, e.g., refuse and recycling vehicles on the designated pick-up days, school. buses on their If scheduled routes and trucks that are providing deliveries and service; and SECTION is That the remaining sections of Ordinance No. MC97- 670 shall remain in full farce and effect. SECTION 3: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, sentence or provision of this ordinance shall be adjudged by any Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof, which remainder shall remain and continue in full force and effect. SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form (which publication is hereby authorized) as provided by law.
