AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS
OF CHAPTER 13, TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES,
OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY
COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: That Section 13-602.3.b. of the City of McHenry
Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows:
b. Elm Street -IL Route 120 - from Front Royal Drive to
Charles Street;
SECTION 2: That Section 13-6-2.4 of the City of McHenry
Municipal Code shall be amended to add the following subsections,
which shall read as follows:
j. Elm Street -IL Route 120 - from Charles Street to the
east property line of 2804 Elm Street (for eastbound traffic);
k. Elm Street -IL Route 120 - from the east property line
of 2803 Elm Street (for westbound traffic) to Charles Street;
SECTION 3: That Section 13-602.5 of the City of McHenry
Municipal Code shall be amended to add the following subsections,
which shall read as follows:
d. Elm Street -IL Route 120 - from east property line of
2803 Elm Street to Chapel Hill Road (eastbound traffic);
e. Elm Street -IL Route 120 - from Chapel Hill Road to the
east property line of 2804 Elm Street (westbound traffic);
SECTION 4: That "Stop Street" and "Intersecting Street." of
Section 13-1104, Stop Streets Established, of the City of McHenry
Municipal Code shall be amended to add the following listings:
Stop Street
Charles Street (SB)
Hillside Lane (SB)
Northside Avenue (NB)
River Road (NB)
Intersecting Street
Illinois Route 120
Illinois Route 120
Illinois Route 120

SECTION 5: That Section 13-1106, Traffic Control Signals
Authorized, the City of McHenry Municipal Code shall be amended to
add the following:
(11) River Road at Illinois State Route 120
(12) Chapel Hill Road at Illinois State Route 120
SECTION 6: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
sentence or provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged by any
Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall
not affect, impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof,
which remainder shall remain and continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 7: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 8: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form (which
publication is hereby authorized) as provided by law.
