AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NcHENRY,
McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 602 3.a. of Chapter 13 of the Municipal
Code, City of McHenry, Illinois, commonly known as the Traffic and
Motor Vehicle Ordinance of the City of McHenry, Illinois, relating
to 30 miles per hour speed zone areas, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
113. a. Green Street - Anne Street to Bull Valley Road;"
SECTION 2. Section 602 4.a. of Chapter 13, relating to 35
miles per hour speed zone areas is hereby amended to read as
follows:
4. a. Crystal Lake Road - Lillian Street to Bull Valley
Road;"
SECTION 3. Section 602 of Chapter 13 is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following additional 35 miles per hour speed
zone area:
"i. Green Street - from Bull Valley Road to a point
135 feet south of the southerly right-of-way line
of Forest Road;"
SECTION 4. Section 602 6.b. of Chapter 13 relating to the
45 miles per hour speed zone area on Crystal Lake Road from
Dartmoor to south City Limits is hereby deleted.
SECTION 5. Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Twenty
Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00)
for each offense committed on each day during, or on which, a
violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 6. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict
with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the same are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet
form by and under the authority of the corporate authorities of the
City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 8. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided
by law.
