ORDINANCE NO. MC-93- 600
AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY,
McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 26-166(B) of the Municipal Code, City of
McHenry, is hereby amended to read as follows:
(B) FOR NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS/USES:
For each use not otherwise covered by paragraph (A) of this
Section, the charge for connection to either the water or
sewerage system, or to both, shall be based on the size of
the water meter (whether to City water or otherwise) as
follows:

SECTION 2. Section 26-166 of the Municipal Code, City of
McHenry, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following additional
paragraphs:
(C) A separate charge shall also be assessed to each user for
connection to either the water or sewerage system, or to
both, whenever such user increases the size of its water
meter (whether to City water or otherwise); such separate
charge shall be calcualted by deducting the amount of the
charge specified in paragraph (B) of this Section for the
then existing water meter size from the amount of the
charge specified in paragraph (B) of this Section for the
diameter to which the water meter is to be increased.
(D) Nothing in this Section shall be interpreted to assess a
Capital Development Fee for fire suppression systems.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Twenty -Five
Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each
offense committed on each day during, or on which, a violation occurs
or continues.
SECTION 4. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict with
the terms and provisions hereof, be and the same are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by
and under the authority of the corporate authorities of the City of
McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
