ORDINANC:E NO. [1C-91-565
AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY,
McHENRY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 17-4 of the Municipal Code, City of McHenry, Illinois, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 17.-4. Zoning for Newly Annexed Territory Except as
may be provided for by a Pre -annexation Agreement or by a
subsequent amendment to this Ordinance, any parcel of land
hereafter annexed to the City, shall be classified in the most
restrictive single-family residential district that will permit the
parcel, or the smallest subdivided lot therein, to conform to the
minimum lot area required in that district."
SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this ordinance
shall be fined not less than Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00) for each offense committed on each day during, or on which, a violation occurs or
continues.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict with the terms and provisions
hereof, be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the
authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
