RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, William Stephens was appointed as Director of the City of McHenry Emergency
Services and Disaster Agency on May 1, 1996, and has served in that capacity since his appointment;
and
WHEREAS, he is resigning his position as Director of Emergency Services and Disaster
Agency for the City of McHenry after serving the McHenry Community for four years in this
capacity; and
WHEREAS, he has responsibly and enthusiastically carried out the responsibilities of his
position; and
WHEREAS, he will be remembered for his dedication, persistence in pursuing safety of the
McHenry community for any emergency, thoroughness and civic interest in fiffi ing his duties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that the McHenry City Council go on record as
recognizing these accomplishments and expresses its appreciation on behalf of the citizens of
McHenry.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be incorporated into the minutes of this
meeting and that a copy be presented to William Stephens.
