AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 13-1701(b) of the Municipal Code,
City of McHenry, Illinois commonly known as the Traffic and
Motor Vehicle Ordinance of the City of McHenry, Illinois, is
hereby amended by adding thereto the following additional
exemptions from the provisions of Article XVII:
"... or vehicles when operated by any public
transportation service authorized by law to provide
public transportation.
SECTION 2. Section 13-1711(c) of Chapter 13 of the
Municipal Code, City of McHenry, Illinois is hereby amended
by adding thereto the following additional exemption from
the weight limits provided therein:
nor to trucks used exclusively for garbage or
refuse disposal equipped with self -compactors or
industrial roll -off hoists and roll -off containers."
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than
Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) for each offense committed on each day
during, or on which, a violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 4. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publica+�
in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
