AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 17 of the Municipal Code, City of
McHenry is hereby amended by adding the following provision
thereto as and for Section 17-7 thereof:
"Section 17-7. Zoning Sign Deposit. At the time
that the non-refundable zoning filing fee is paid, a
zoning applicant shall also deposit the sum of One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) with the City as security for
the prompt return of the zoning sign furnished by the
City pursuant to the requirements of IIF1 of the Zoning
Ordinance, which deposit shall be refundable in full to
the applicant, provided, however, that the sign is
returned by the applicant to the City in its original
condition within seven (7) days after the last Zoning
Board of Appeals hearing date regarding the zoning
application; said deposit shall be forfeited in full if
said sign is not returned within said time or if said
sign is not returned in the same condition when
delivered to the applicant."
SECTION 2. Section 17_6 of the Municipal Code, City of
McHenry is hereby amended by increasing the filing fee for
zoning applications from $350.00 to $360.00.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than
Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) for each offense committed on each day
during, or on which, a violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 4. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
