RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTINUATION OF
THE MCHENRY COUNTY MUNICIPAL RISK MANAGEMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the McHenry County Municipal Risk Management Agency (McMRMA) is a
governmental self-insurance pool, formed pursuant to Article VII S 10 of the Illinois Constitution, and
the Illinois Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, 51LCS S2201/1 et. Seq., and governed according to an
intergovernmental agreement, hereinafter referred to as the "Contract and Bylaws"; and
WHEREAS, as of the end of its current fiscal year, ending June 30, 2000, McMRMA will
have been in existence for twelve (12) years, during which it has provided protected collective self-
insurance for the governmental entities which have been members of McMRMA; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is a member of McMRMA, and its desire is to continue
McMRMA's existence; and
WHEREAS, the passage of this resolution does not in any way restrict the ability of the City of
McHenry to withdraw from McMRMA at the end of any fiscal year of the pool, upon the fiunishing of
one year's notice pursuant to the terms of the Contract and Bylaws.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois as
follows:
SECTION 1: McMRMA, of which this governmental body is a member, at the conclusion of
the current fiscal year, ending June 30, 2000, shall continue in existence, under the terms of its
Contract and Bylaws.
SECTION 2: The Contract and Bylaws of McMRMA shall continue to constitute the
intergovernmental agreement between this governmental body and the other members of McMRMA.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage.
