AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section VIC6g of the Subdivision Control
Ordinance of the City of McHenry, Illinois, be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE CERTIFICATE

Professional Engineer of
the State of Illinois, do hereby certify that to the best: of
our knowledge and belief, the drainage of surface waters
will not be changed by the construction of this subdivision
or any part thereof, or, that if such surface water drainage
will be changed, reasonable provision has been made for the
collection and diversion of such surface waters into public
areas or drains which the subdivider has a right to use, and
that such surface water will be planned for in accordance
with generally accepted engineering practices so as to
reduce the likelihood of damage to the adjoining property
because of the construction of the subdivision.

SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than
Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) for each offense committed on each day
during, or on which, a violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
