AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 26-21(a) of the Municipal Code,

McHenry, Illinois, is hereby amended to read as
(a) Location of Meters. Meters and readers shall be
placed in a location of easy access to the Public Works
Department and shall be installed, subject to the
approval of the Public Works Department, in such a
manner that any part of such meter may be removed
without having to remove it from the water line to
which it is attached; the owner shall provide a proper
opening in the piping provided with the necessary
couplings, unions and by-pass required to install the
meter."
SECTION
2. Any
person, firm or corporation violating
any provision
of this
ordinance shall
be fined not less than
Twenty Five
Dollars
($25.00) nor
more than Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) for each offense
committed on each day
during, or on
which, a
violation occurs
or continues.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or
conflict

hereby repealed to the extent of

pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
