AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED

SECTION 1. The Municipal Code, City of McHenry,
Illinois, be and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following provision as and for Section 16-48
thereof to establish user charges for park and recreation
facilities:
"SECTION 16-48. CHARGES FOR PARK AND aECREATrk or recreation

currently valid pass:
(a) LAKELAND PARK COMMUNITY CENTER. The rental fee
and deposit for the use of the Community Center will be

(c) BALLFIELD RENTALS. The daily rental fee and
deposit for the use of a ballfield by any team that
does not participate in organized league play wil be as
follows:

(d) SOFTBALL LEAGUE EQUALIZATION FEES. A season
fee shall be paid by each softball team participating
in organized league play and the fee for each
individual team shall be based on whether or not such
team is a "Resident" or a "Non-resident" team. A
"Resident" team is defined to be one whose roster is
composed of at least 80% City of McHenry residents. A
"Non-resident" team is defined as one whose roster is
composed of at least 60% School District 15 and -School
District 156 residents, but less than 80% City of
McHenry residents. The season fee for such teams shall
be as follows:

(e) SOUTH RIVERFRONT PARK BOAT LAUNCH FEES. The daily
rate for the use of the boat launch on Saturday, Sunday
and Holidays shall be $8.00 per boat.
(f) KNOX PARK SWIMMING POOL: The admission
charge for the use of the Knox Park Swimming Pool will
be as follows:

SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than
Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) for each offense committed on each day
during, or on which, a violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
