MC-86-381 AN ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section VIIB(13) of the Subdivision Control Ordinance of the City of McHenry be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 13. Streets designed to have one end permanently closed shall not exceed 400 feet in length as measured from the intersecting right-of-way line of the connecting street and shall terminate with a turn- around right-of-way of not less than 100 feet in diameter, and a paved roadway turn -around of 80 feet in diameter; the combined length of the street and turn -around rights -of -way shall not exceed 500 feet. SECTION 2. Section VIIIE(1)(g) of the Subdivision Control Ordinance of the City of McHenry be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: g. Cul-de-sacs: The street portion of the cul-de-sac street shall not exceed 400 feet in length as measured from the intersecting right-of-way line of the connecting street and shall have a right-of-way width of not less than 50 feet with a paved area 27 feet in width, back-to-back to curb and gutter. There shall be a 11 1/2 foot tree bank on either side of the street portion of the cul-de-sac street improved by a 4 foot wide sidewalk abutting the adjoining property lines. The entrance to the circular portion of the cul-de-sac shall be tear drop shaped on either side and the cul-de-sac itself shall have a 100 foot diameter, the interior 80 feet of which shall be paved. There shall be a 10 foot tree bank surrounding the paved area of the cul-de-sac, improved with a 4 foot wide sidewalk set one foot off of the abutting property lines. The combined length of the street portion of the cul-de-sac and of the circular portion of the cul-de-sac shall not exceed 500 feet. SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense committed on each day during, or on which, a violation occurs or continues. SECTION 4. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois. SECTION 6.
