AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2-186 of the Municipal Code, City
of McHenry, Illinois, be and the same is hereby amended by
decreasing the membership of the McHenry Historic Landmark
Commission from 13 members to 11 members.
SECTION 2. Section 2-187 of the Municipal Code, City
of McHenry, Illinois, be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
112-187. The term of office of each member of the
McHenry Historic Landmark Commission shall be two
years and until their respective successors shall be
appointed and qualified; provided, however, that
initially 6 of said members shall be appointed to
serve for a term of 1 year until May 1, 1987 and 5
members shall initially serve for a two year period
until May 1, 1988.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form, as provided.•by law.
