AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Municipal Code, City of McHenry,
be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following provision as and for Section 2-93 thereof:
"Section 2-93. Deputy Clerk. The City Clerk be
and she is hereby authorized to appoint one Deputy
Clerk from among the existing City Clerk's staff for
such term as the City Clerk may, from time to time,
determine, provided however, that no compensation
shall be paid to the person filling the position of
Deputy Clerk in excess of the compensation that is
paid to such person for the staff position for which
she was hired by the City Clerk. The City Clerk shall
notify, in writing, the Mayor and City Council of any
and all such appointments to the position of Deputy
Clerk."
SECTION 2. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
