AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2-73 of the Municipal Code, City
of McHenry, Illinois be and the same is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following provision as and for paragraph
(j) thereof:
"(j) Nothwithstanding anything in this Chapter
to the contrary, and pursuant to the authority of the
Fair Labor Standards Act and regulations of the United
States Department of Labor, there is hereby
established effective May 1, 1985 a 28 consecutive day
work period with regard to overtime compensation of
law enforcement personnel of the City (not covered by
this term are dispatchers, parking meter checkers,
health inspectors, clerical employees, etc.); overtime
compensation will be only paid for those hours worked
by such law enforcement personnel in excess of 171
hours during any 28 day work period.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the Corporate
Authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict
only.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
