AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY
COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 13-1104 of the City of McHenry Ordinance Mc-78-141,
known as the Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations Ordinance, be and the
same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following additional Stop Sign
locations, it being unlawful for the operator of any vehicle being operated
on any of the streets hereinafter listed in the column designated "Stop
Street" to drive such vehicle into the intersection with the street listed
opposite to it in the column designated "Intersecting Street" without first
bringing such vehicle to a full stop at the entrance to such intersection
as indicated by the signs located at such intersections:

SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision
of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than Twenty Dollars ($20.00) nor
more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflect herewith,
be and the same are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by
and under the authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry,
Illinois.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by
law.

The enclosed new stop intersections, Proposals A and B, are submitted for your review.
These locations are in the Winding Creek Subdivision.
In Proposal A, the majority of new stop signs are in completed areas of construction
which have residents in them now, requiring immediate installation.
Enclosed also for your review, is a map of the subdivision showing those locations of
proposed stop sign installations.
Proposal B, are those proposed stop intersections that are in areas of current con-
struction and will be installed as those areas are completed.
